Trip to London








Hi everybody! We’re students at Sarmiento high school, we´re in fifth year and we would like to talk about our trip to London and share our experience with you.
In this article, you will find the best information to have the perfect travel. In this trip you will see concerts, the most important places to visit, exotic food, interviews of famous people, and much more.

London is one of the most important cities in Europe and the world, it´s the capital city of England. There are people coming from all over the world, with different culture, religion and languages, but English is the most spoken one.

This city has the most international visitors of any city in the world; it attracts 20 million international visitors per year. So if you want to visit to London you need to know: the weather, the transport, the British currency, the hostel, the map, and much more.

  • The weather is unpredictable, oscillating between rain and sunshine within the space of minutes.  For that reason, you should be prepared to expect all four seasons in one day and get dressed accordingly!  London in Summer is very beautiful,  but  always unpredictable so you should bring a light jacket and a waterproof just in case it rains!

  • The British currency is still pounds Sterling, you can change the money in banks, bureaux de change offices, hotels and post offices.

  • Transport: How to get around once you get here?

           Visiting London without getting on the metro, the bus or a taxi is almost impossible.                                          Although walking is a great choice, the long distances make it necessary to use urban transport.
           London offers one of the best public transport networks in the world, including subways,                                 trains, buses, bicycles and much more at a very affordable price!
  • The top attractions in London include museums, parks, galleries and family days out. The top attractions are: Big Ben, The London Eye, Royal Opera House, Houses of Parliament, Madame Tussaud, National Gallery, Science Museum.
  • Hotel: ”Ibis London Earls Court”

This hotel is ideally located in West London opposite Earls Court Exhibition Centre.
       The hotel offers 504 comfortable bedrooms with air cooling, pay movies, direct dial modem point and hairdryer. The hotel offers a large conference and exhibition space for up to 1200 delegates, a restaurant, a pub and an undercover paying car park.
  • London has one of the world top collection of restaurants, cafés, markets, pubs, and culinary schools. The typical food in London are Fish & Chips, Roast Beef, Meat Pie, English Sausages, Apple Pie and Bacon.

  • Airplane: We have traveled by American Airlines. The day of departure was is August 20 at  9am to London. 2 hours later we stopped in the USA, then continue the flight to London. And we reached to London at 4am. The flight to London is 13 hours. 






When we arrived in London we had lunch and we went to see Britney Spears show. At the end of the show we were very lucky  to have a dialogue with her.

One day, we visited the Manchester City football stadium and we were surprised when Carlos Tevez sit down next to us. He was very friendly so we asked him the following questions.

My birthday is febraury the 5th

I am from Argentine

Because is my mother´s surname
5. Why your nickname is apache?
Because I am from Fuerte Apache

Yes,I am
7.What Maradona says about you ?
I am playing in Manchester city now.

8. How much the last time paid for you ?
The last team paid for me 22 million pounds

9.What Maradona says about you ?
Maradona says I am the Argentine prophet for the 21st centur

Before coming, at the airport we met with Martiniano Molina, who was coming back from a course of typical breakfast

M: I always cook.

 
*How is the course?
M: It´s difficult, but pretty good. (laugh)
 

*What are you learning in the course?
M: I´m learning how to  make English breakfast.
 

*Which are the ingredients?

M: I play handball with my friends.

  1. Sounds like you had a fantastic time. One thing that's always worth doing when you arrive in London is to hop on a tour bus fairly early on. That way, you can tick off all the major sights, just so you can say you've seen them and draw up your list of things you'd like to explore in more detail. Because one thing you'll find in London is that no matter how much time you have, you'll have a hard job squeezing in everything that you want to do. Personally, I just use that as an excuse to come back again and again.

    Did you get to see Covent Garden at all? That's my favourite place in London and one I always make time for, even at the expense of doing something new. Last December, my mum and I booked into London serviced apartments in Covent Garden for a weekend and we came home feeling like we'd had a week's holiday. You just can't get a better atmosphere anywhere in London, particularly at Christmas. It's so busy and bustling and friendly.
